The Cresson

Aledo comes home Friday with a second straight district victory behind it and a direct chance to separate from another team near the top of District 3–6A. The Bearcats beat Arlington 42–28 on October 16 and host Weatherford at 7 p.m. October 23 at Tim Buchanan Stadium.

The opening play supplied an immediate lift. The Community News reported that Wyatt Dorsey scored on a 59-yard run on the first snap from scrimmage. Charles Baggarly’s Friday football roundup put Aledo’s halftime advantage at 35–7 and its early fourth-quarter lead at 42–7 before Arlington closed the margin.

The result moved Aledo to 4–3 overall and 3–1 in district. Weatherford arrives 5–2 overall and also 3–1 in the league after beating Granbury 54–20. Arlington Martin leads the district at 4–0. Friday therefore matches two teams with the same district record, with three regular-season games remaining for Aledo.

Friday at home: Pink Out

Aledo Athletics labels the Weatherford game its Pink Out Game. The stadium is at 1000 Bailey Ranch Road in Aledo. The school’s visitor page says home-game gates open one hour before kickoff and parking opens at 4:30 p.m.; check the official gameday page for current entry and parking guidance.

After Weatherford, the Bearcats travel to Arlington Sam Houston on October 30 at 7 p.m. They close the regular season at home against Arlington Lamar on November 6 at 7 p.m., designated Senior/Parent Night. All times are Central; confirm schedules before traveling.
